With age, the factory Throttle Cable Bushing gets soft and spongy or cracks letting the throttle cable sag. The throttle response gets worse since the cable must first straighten up before it starts to move the throttle plate. Replacing the worn bushings with the billet aluminium bushings eliminates cable sag to give a crisp throttle response.

Billet Aluminium Throttle Cable Bushings
This will replace the old weak factory cable bushing
The kit includes 2 Billet Aluminium Throttle Cable Bushings, 2 Snap Rings
Will fit the following models:
- E39 and E38 (1993 to 1998) 528, 530, 540, 740, and 840 without electronic throttle body
- E36 and E34 (1990 to 1999) M3, M5, 325, 328, 525, 528, 535, 735
- M20, M42, M30, S14, M/S5x, or M6x motors
- E34 M20 cars
Step 1: Unhook the throttle cable from the throttle body
Step 2: Unscrew the throttle cable from the factory bushing and carefully cut the old bushing off the cable
Step 3: Put the throttle cable through the slot on the aluminium bushing.
Step 4: Put the aluminium bushing through the throttle cable bushing bracket and secure it with the snap-ring provided
Step 5: Reinstall the throttle cable back on the throttle body and install it back on the intake manifold.
Step 6: Adjust the tension on the throttle cable till it's tight but still allows the throttle body to close without interference.
